34 – UPH Medical School

UPH Medical School tackles two questions: “How can it connect to Siloam Hospital at ground level and via bridges?” and “How can dormitories, auditorium, offices, and retail blend into a functional ground floor?” Rising 28 floors over 1,500 square meters, this design integrates education and living, with floors 12-28 dedicated to flexible dormitories.

A tower and podium structure separates circulation for distinct functions, while interlocking volumes promote cross-air flow for comfort. A double-decker auditorium (700 seats on the first floor, 450 on the second) anchors the core. The ground floor merges retail, offices, and hospital links, with bridges enhancing synergy. Diverse classrooms, designed with Leni Sindhu, and a rooftop helipad complete the vision. UPH Medical School unifies complex demands into a vibrant, forward-thinking hub.
