Tunas Muda New Extension is started by hypotheses “How to provide the best inclusive IB school for future generations? ”
The design then explores various problem solving, that we found out the design potentials are the way students use free space like dining space, student space, alumni space, courtyard, on the ground floor. So we design an open pilotis ground floor design, starts from the lobby, with minimal administration space. Some of the space freed during design, such as freeing solid wall in the lobby and creating opening in the new space. The auditorium is also function as international basketball court is placed at the roof top.
The existing building, then linked with new building. The facade made by alumunium composite for easing the maintenance, and adjusting to the school goldish, green, silverish look. The facade is designed to be low e, with combination of the canopy, terraces to ease and maximize covering in rainfall. This building is also act as linkage between the next sports center and existing school.
