The Chicken Coop in Alfa Omega project, initiated during the COVID-19 period to bolster Alfa Omega income, is driven by a hypothesis: “Can a commercial poultry farm be designed and constructed within eight months to deliver efficient, healthy, and economically viable operations while prioritizing animal welfare and environmental sustainability?” This fast-tracked commercial endeavor successfully met its ambitious timeline, creating a functional and productive facility in under a year.

The design revolves around a parallelogram layout for the chicken coops, arranged along a corridor to optimize space and airflow. The stacked, layered roof structure allows natural ventilation to flow freely, preventing overheating while maintaining a stable internal temperature of approximately 30–31°C—ideal for the chickens’ health and productivity. Indirect sunlight filters through strategically placed openings, ensuring the poultry are neither too cold nor overheated, fostering an environment conducive to growth and well-being. The building’s ventilation system is paired with an innovative waste management solution, incorporating a carbon-based composting system beneath the coops to efficiently process waste, minimize odor, and promote environmental sustainability.

This design balances economic efficiency with animal welfare, leveraging natural ventilation and light to reduce operational costs while enhancing the chickens’ health and output. The result is a highly productive facility that supports Alfa Omega financial goals while demonstrating a model for rapid, sustainable construction in the agricultural sector. By integrating ventilation, waste management, and a streamlined layout, Chicken Coop delivers a commercially viable and environmentally conscious poultry farm that thrives under challenging timelines.
