IDN Media’s new office space, spanning floors 14, 15, and 17, is driven by a hypothesis: “Can a multi-functional workspace embody the vibrancy of a community-driven media hub while balancing distinct identities for public engagement and internal collaboration?” Designed as a dynamic headquarters for IDN Media, a leading Indonesian media platform, this project seeks to create a representative environment that showcases pride, functionality, and cultural identity. The space is envisioned as a stage for media events, creative collaboration, and community interaction, reflecting the company’s ethos of connectivity and innovation.
The design prioritizes a clear separation between public and employee experiences, with distinct entry points: a welcoming customer entrance on the lower floor and dedicated employee access per floor. The public-facing spaces are crafted to impress, hosting versatile areas for talk shows, cooking demos, and a command center for media operations. Meeting rooms of varying sizes—small, medium, and a large one accommodating 30–40 people—support presentations and collaborative discussions. A vibrant canteen doubles as a communal hub, fostering informal gatherings and reinforcing IDN Media’s community-driven culture. Workspaces are organized into “pockets” per floor, blending open work areas, casual lounges, and leadership zones to encourage fluid interaction without the rigid partitions of traditional co-working spaces.
The leadership hub, located at the top floor’s far end, features two interconnected meeting rooms for seamless executive collaboration. The aesthetic draws from a striking palette of black, white, and red, infused with batik patterns inspired by Iwan Tirta, embedding a distinctly Nusantara identity that celebrates IDN Media’s “Indonesia New Media” vision. These batik motifs subtly weave cultural pride into the modern, media-savvy environment.
